The Conrad Bora Bora Nui has debuted as the brand’s first French Polynesian property and the locale’s first 5-Star resort in a decade. Influenced by Tahitian history and lore, the resort is set upon a private cove on the islet of Motu To’opua and features designs from Bangkok firms Blink Design Group and P49 Deesign.
The stylish, modern resort embraces the understated sophistication of the South Pacific through bespoke French Polynesian details. Included among 114 guestrooms are 28 tropical garden and beach villas, 86 overwater bungalows, and two presidential villas—Bora Bora’s only two-story overwater accommodations.
All villas are outfitted with wall-to-wall sliding doors, while overwater villas include catamaran nets for lounging directly over the water and select suites feature private infinity plunge pools. Bathrooms offer double vanities, a rain shower, and an oversized tub. The two-story and two-bedroom presidential villas are designed with upstairs sundecks and whirlpools, three bathrooms, two dressing rooms, and a living room. A second-floor wellbeing room houses a sauna and a private deck appointed with daybeds and bars.
The signature, open-air brasserie concept Iriatai French Restaurant features lagoon views and includes banquet and veranda seating, as well as an adjacent wine bar and cellar. The Banyan Chinese Restaurant sits amidst a fabled banyan tree, while the Upa Upa Lounge Bar is clad with a glass floor deck.
Perched along the islet’s tropical hillside, the Hina Spa comprises seven bungalows, a steam room, a sauna, and a 120-square-foot open-air treatment room. A fitness center, mini-golf course, kids’ club, infinity pool, and retail are also onsite.
