The Bulgari Hotels & Resorts portfolio expanded last week with the launch of its sixth property, the Bulgari Hotel Shanghai. Located on the banks of Suzhou Creek, the hotel is the brand’s second in China, following the September 2017 opening of its Beijing outpost.
The latest collaboration between Bulgari and Milanese architecture firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the 82-room hotel is crafted with a contemporary sense of luxury that blends distinctive Italian sophistication with the rich layers of Chinese history. The top floors of the hotel host F&B spaces Il Bar, Il Ristorante Niko Romito, and the La Terrazza rooftop, which boasts a 360-degree aerial view. Connected to the historic Shanghai Chamber of Commerce, the hotel offers guests access to the building’s private gardens, the 5,166-square-foot Bulgari ballroom, and the Chinese eatery Bao Li Xuan. Spread across more than 21,500 square feet, the spa is outfitted with a heated indoor pool, eight treatment rooms, and a fitness center.
