Chicago welcomes Found Hotels’ flagship outpost in the River North neighborhood thanks to a partnership with the h.wood Group, who will lead F&B efforts, and Hawkins Way Capital. Crafted by John Sofio, of Built Inc., the Found Chicago provides affordable private and shared rooms, which take design cues from the city itself. The hotel is in walking distance from downtown and the Magnificent Mile. Housed inside is Mason & Mason coffee bar, contemporary steakhouse Mason, and the speakeasy-like Blind Dragon karaoke lounge.
Found Chicago is the first location for the brand to launch this year, with locations in Boston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to follow. “Our foundation has been real estate first, and extensive hospitality management next,” says Ross Walker, owner of Found Hotels and Hawkins Way Capital. “With that said, having aligned with other renowned hospitality experts like the the h.wood Group, will help play a significant differentiating factor within the food and beverage space. There is a lot more to come from the Found family.”
