The Belmond Castello di Casole has joined the Belmond portfolio in the hills of Tuscany between the Italian cities of Siena and Florence. Steeped in a rustic, Etruscan air, the historic hideaway serves as a sister hotel to the Belmond Vill San Michele in Florence.
Located in a former medieval village, the castle hotel, originally named Querceto Manor, welcomes guests via a cypress tree-lined private road. Each of the 39 all-suite accommodations feature original stone flooring, terracotta colors, and traditional alabaster sourced in Volterra to better reflect the rich history of the estate. Suites housed within the original 10th-century tower also boast original fireplaces and stone wall detailing.
Outfitted with classic marble, the Bar Visconti overlooks the onsite infinity pool, while the Essere spa evokes tranquility within a former wine cellar. The space is equipped with original stone walls, historic artifacts, and a terrace.
