Auberge Resorts Collection has revealed that it will now manage the Commodore Perry Estate in central Austin. The property, which is currently undergoing a large-scale restoration, is set to reopen under the Auberge banner in 2019 as its first urban resort.
Spearheading the redevelopment efforts is urbanist Stefanos Polyzoides of Pasadena, California-based Moule & Polyzoides along with San Francisco-based interior designer Ken Fulk and locally based practices Clayton & Little Architects and Ten Eyck Landscape Architects. Upon debut, the new luxury concept will house 53 guestrooms, flexible event spaces, and a signature, locally informed eatery. Auberge-branded residences will arrive during the second phase of construction. The 10,800-square-foot Italian Renaissance-style estate features formal gardens and 10 walled off acres along the Waller Creek.
