Water Street Tampa, the forthcoming $3 billion development in downtown Tampa, Florida has announced that it will welcome a 500-key hotel among its 50 acres and 18 buildings. The hotel at 10 Water Street will be designed by Coral Gables, Florida-based Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates (NBWW) and boast interiors from New York-based Champalimaud Design. Construction will begin on the hotel in early 2018 and is poised for completion in 2020.
“The design of the hotel strengthens the connection between the building and its location, allowing the guest experience to admire and blend into the spirit of the city,” says John Nichols, founder of NBWW.
Guests will be greeted by a four-story lobby atrium that will serve as an active public space designed to promote socialization and collaboration. In addition to a full-service restaurant on the ground floor, 10 Water Street will feature 126,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including the 30,000-square-foot grand ballroom, the largest in Tampa Bay. The sixth floor will be home to amenities such as the expansive spa and fitness center, a pool terrace, event lawn, bar, and indoor-outdoor restaurant. A rooftop terrace on the 26th floor will crown the property with framed views of the city.
