25hours Hotels has opened the latest addition to its growing portfolio in central Munich. The 25hours Hotel the Royal Bavarian has debuted within the former Main Post Office and Royal Central Telegraph Station from 1869. Locally based firm OSA Ochs Schmidhuber Architekten led the restoration of the historic address, while Augsburg-based firm Dreimeta conceived the interiors under the leadership of Andrea Kraft-Hammerschall and Armin Fischer.
The ground floor is punctuated with artwork from local artist Jan Davidoff with nods to the property’s royal heritage. The lobby’s upscale neighborhood spot the Boilerman Bar is clad with dark wood, parquet floors, and stylish armchairs. The bar is also home to a library that boasts an extensive vinyl record collection. The cozy Mediterranean concept Neni has also been installed.
Spread across four floors, the hotel’s 165 guestrooms are appointed with the brand’s signature amenities and come in five configurations, including Servants’ Quarters, Stately Rooms, Royal Chambers, and two luxurious suites.
