Phoenix-based architecture and design practice Studio Ma has revealed renderings for Summit Powder Mountain, a proposed entrepreneurial and innovation retreat concept in Eden, Utah slated for completion in 2022. Long-term construction on the town is expected to span more than two decades.
An area called the Ridge includes more than 500 residences, which are connected to the Main Street called the Village, which will be punctuated with dining, retail, artwork, hotels, and additional affordable housing for artists, entrepreneurs, and researchers. The nucleus of the concept will be the Summit Institute, a nonprofit innovation hub that houses coworking spaces, restaurants, a 300-person conference and concert venue, and an après-ski event center.
Norwegian architecture practice JVA has provided assistance on the project along with Skylab Architecture and Brian MacKay-Lyons and Todd Saunders.
