Program highlights have been revealed for the inaugural SAHIC Cuba conference, taking place May 15th-16th in Havana. The two-day event will comprise discussions between approximately 250 investors and representatives from international hotel franchises.
General sessions and panel topics will include global and regional trends for the hotel and tourism industry; an overview of the hotel and tourism industry in Cuba and the Caribbean; understanding the potential of the cruise market; hotel design and refurbish forum; supply issues regarding products, FF&E, and general services for hotels; understanding how to do business in Cuba; hotel leaders’ “Hard Talk” with local hotel groups; the investment climate and business opportunities in Cuba; technology and connectivity; and airlift to Cuba.
The conference will include SAHIC’s traditional Showcase Your Project Series, a platform crafted to highlight hospitality projects for development. Members of the Cuban government will showcase projects in the pipeline, while also moderating networking opportunities. World Travel & Tourism Council president and CEO David Scowsill and Cuban Historian Eusebio Leal will both deliver separate keynote addresses as well.
