Now in its 15th year, Hospitality Design Summit (HD Summit) seeks to bring in ideas from outside the industry to enlighten and inspire hospitality professionals in every facet of the industry. Attendees have earned their invitation from sponsors or peers, and met executive and business qualifications. The prestigious, invitation-only event is held like a “thought-camp,” in which speakers from a wide range of backgrounds— including thought-leaders, academicians, researchers, authors, innovators, inventors, and strategists—help to sharpen attendees’ leadership skills and provide the big ideas to help them stay ahead of the competition and see beyond the typical to the extraordinary.
Our speakers are always an array of experts offering guidance in leadership, creativity, motivation, and inspiration. This year’s lineup was no different and included individuals like writer and traveler Pico Iyer, who discussed his world travels and happy discovery that we are closer to our true selves when we disconnect from social media. Philippe Petit shared his personal definition of creativity, which includes faith, simplicity, elegance, and drama.
