Hospitality Design (HD) magazine has announced the winners of the 13th annual HD Awards. Nearly 640 project entires and 330 product entries were submitted this year.
Both project and product entries debuted between December 1st, 2015 and March 1st, 2017.
The projects portion spanned 20 categories including Hotel (upscale/luxury, midscale, budget/economy, and lifestyle), Spa, Sustainable Project, Student Project, and Restaurant (both upscale and casual/fast casual). Innovative products are recognized in 11 categories such as Casegoods + Furniture, Wallcoverings, Furniture, and Accessories.
Winners and finalists for both projects and products were selected by an esteemed jury of industry professionals, featured in the June issue of HD magazine, and celebrated at a ceremony at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York on June 7th, 2017.
A talented and accomplished panel of industry professionals selected this year’s HD Awards winners and finalists. For projects: Timothy Griffin, director of North America, Ennismore/the Hoxton; Nicole Hollis, founder, NICOLEHOLLIS; Kemper Hyers, senior vice president of design, Starwood Capital; Helen Jorgensen, vice president of design and procurement, Host Hotels & Resorts; and Alessandro Munge, founder, Studio Munge. For products: Siobhan Barry, partner and executive creator director, dash design; Joan Cardy, founder and president, the Cardy Group; and Gregory Stanford, director of interior design, Marriott International.
