Costa Rican boutique hotel Olas Verdes will celebrate its grand opening December 5th. Located in Nosara, the surf-inspired property is set in the jungle away from the coastline of Playa Guiones beach—a renowned surfing destination.
Situated adjacent to a wildlife refuge, the LEED certified hotel was curated with a lush and natural atmosphere to seamlessly blend with its surroundings.
The complex will offer 17 suites across five buildings designed to represent a different Costa Rican region through the use of color and culturally authentic, locally made décor from the country’s five regions.
“We set out to create Olas Verdes as a direct representation of the unique community and environment that we are so fortunate to be a part of,” says Carl Kish, project manager of Olas Verdes. “Every facet of Olas Verdes exudes the culture of pura vida.”
While accommodations will come equipped with kitchen appliances, a living room, bedroom, and bathroom, one specialized suite will adjoin a large patio with views of the pool, restaurant and bar, beach trail, and yoga deck.
Nearby activities will include ziplining, waterfall tours, and wildlife tours, with the Safari Surf School and El Manglar restaurant and bar located onsite.
Equipped with low-flow water fixtures, the hotel will practice rainwater harvesting and waste composting, repurpose treated graywater for irrigation, and satisfy an estimated 20 percent of its annual energy demand using solar photovoltaics.
