Rezidor has built more than 220 eco-labeled hotels, and is on track to become the first international hotel group to have all its properties eco-labeled by 2015.
The group features a program built on minimizing the environmental footprint; caring about the health and safety of guests and employees; and taking responsibility for business ethics and the local communities.
Rezidor’s latest hotels to be eco-labeled are the Radisson Blu Sobieski Hotel, Warsaw, Poland; the Radisson Blu Hotel Cairo Heliopolis, Egypt; the Radisson Blu Fredensborg Hotel Bornholm, Denmark; the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Alushta, Ukraine; the Radisson Blu Resort Trysil, Norway; and the Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport, Norway. The Radisson Blu Hotel Madrid Prado additionally invested $20,052 in LED lighting, various insulation measures, waste management, and eco-labeled cleaning products before achieving Green Key status.
“We are proud that two-thirds of our entire portfolio in operation is eco-labeled. Carlson Rezidor is a responsible organization-we care for our planet and act in a sustainable way,” says Wolfgang M. Neumann, the company’s president and CEO.
