The 114-suite TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Anchorage, Alaska is scheduled to open next week, marking the brand’s first location in Alaska and that state’s first LEED certified hotel.
TownePlace Suites Anchorage Midtown will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Denali Land, LLC and managed by Stonebridge Companies of Denver.
“We are pleased to introduce the TownePlace Suites brand in the state of Alaska,” says Loren Nalewanski, vice president and global brand manager, TownePlace Suites. “Providing an upscale residential atmosphere, this TownePlace Suites hotel offers an appealing alternative to more standard hotel rooms designed for shorter stays.”
Ideal for travelers who need accommodations for longer stays, the property offers studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom suites as well as separate living-working and sleeping areas. The brightly colored modern suites feature full kitchens with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, adjustable work spaces with built-in shelves and lighting, a large flatscreen television, and luxurious bedding. Most rooms also feature the Home Office suite, designed to provide guests with storage and flexible space to spread out and make it their own.
The hotel will be LEED certified for its contributions in making the environment a healthier place by reducing waste and conserving energy and water. It is the latest TownePlace Suites to receive this certification.
Other hotel amenities include an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, an exercise room open 24 hours, complimentary wireless Internet throughout the hotel, and onsite business services.
