The Wynn Las Vegas hotel and resort has debuted its new nightclub, Intrigue, with innovative design from Roger Thomas and the Wynn Design and Development team. Thomas sought to establish “a new nightclub venue not dependent upon celebrity DJs, but more dependent on exclusivity,” he explains. “We’re saying keep out unless you’re really serious.”
A palette of light cream graces the interior of the 14,000-square-foot venue, serving as a neutral backdrop for the dynamic lighting design, where bold systems create a sensual atmosphere transforming the room with a variety of colors, patterns, and textures. The indoor environment seamlessly flows with the outdoors thanks to the incorporation of movable glass walls. The dance floor is flanked by two bars and is lined with 60 banquettes that include elevated backs for two-tier seating. A 94-foot-tall mountain waterfall is a focal point on the 1,183-square-foot patio, providing a sense of movement and featuring a fully stocked bar and two seating alcoves carved in on either side.
With an emphasis on exclusivity and sophistication, Intrigue also houses an additional private club. Accessible through hidden bookcase doors, the 75-guest enclave shows off white liquor lockers made from stitched leather trunks and more than 1,000 vinyl records adorning the walls behind the DJ station. A two-way mirror behind the bar allows for a view into the main room.
