Glowbal Restaurant Group has debuted Glowbal restaurant in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The brand’s largest space to date, the flagship is located downtown in the TELUS Garden mixed-use development, and follows in the footsteps of the original outpost, Glowbal Grill Steaks & Satay, which closed last December.
“I have always had a soft spot for Glowbal after launching it with my wife in 2002 as our first restaurant and the place that started it all,” says Emad Yacoub, president and CEO of Glowbal Restaurant Group. “As Glowbal Restaurant Group has grown, I needed my first ‘child’ to grow up with the rest of the company.”
Crafted by locally based Box Interior Design, the new 17,000-square-foot Glowbal is helmed by executive chef Pedro Gonzalez. The expansive dining space, clad in gold and quilted leather wallpaper, features an open-kitchen setting, while private dining rooms are able to accommodate anywhere from 12 to 60 people. A 150-seat patio bordered by fireplaces provides an al fresco option with human-sized birdcage booths set up beneath a wood-and-glass awning.
