Bombet Hospitality Group’s Stephane Bombet and James Beard Award-winning chef Scott Conant have announced the launch of their new Los Angeles eatery the Ponte. Crafted by Parisian designer Marc Ange of Bloom Room Studio, the restaurant occupies the former home of Terrine, a California brasserie concept also launched by Bombet.
Inspired by the Pontelandolfo expat community in Conant’s hometown of Waterbury, Connecticut, Ponte features a laidback and sophisticated ambiance. The restaurant also evokes the spirit of Italy with rustic elements accented by warm tones.
A 20-year-old tree strung with twinkling lights anchors the restaurant’s outdoor patio, complementing a palette of warm woods, granite, and gold-green velvet accents inside. An expansive elegant lounge facing Beverly Boulevard is installed with comfortable banquettes and free seating adjacent to the granite bar.
