YTL Hotels has announced the expansion of its luxury accommodation portfolio with the acquisitions of three UK properties. The additions include the Glasshouse Hotel in Edinburgh; Monkey Island in Berkshire; and the Academy Hotel in London.
The brand’s UK portfolio previously included the Gainsborough Bath Spa in Bath and the Muse Bray Cottages in Berkshire.
Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the 77-room boutique Glasshouse Hotel originally served as the Lady Glenorchy Church in the mid-19th century. The luxurious property is situated at the heart of the city and offers a secret rooftop garden. Located in the village of Bray-on-Thames, Berkshire’s Monkey Island retreat will receive a redesign from New York-based Champalimaud Design. Adorned with gardens and accessible only by footbridge or boat, the property is minutes from Windsor and less than an hour from central London. Finally, the Academy Hotel comprises five restored Georgian townhouses in London’s West End. The property will undergo a full refresh to honor its cultural and natural heritage.
These latest acquisitions increase YTL’s assets to 29 across the globe.
