The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club in Florida has kicked off the latest phase of its two-year renovation, which will focus on the refresh of the main resort building. Upgrades will be made to the spa, fitness center, tennis courts, and onsite dining facilities.
In January 2017, the resort will begin construction on a new restaurant located on the Esplanade deck, overlooking the pool and marina. The casual indoor-outdoor concept will offer picturesque views of Tampa Bay.
Redevelopment will continue with a new parking garage structure. Built in the current location of the tennis courts, the two-story structure will feature three new tennis courts on the top level with a new fitness center on level two. The 16,500-square-foot fitness center is set to open in early 2018 with new training, multifunction, and locker rooms. In addition, the resort has partnered with the St. Petersburg Tennis Center to provide a temporary tennis home during the renovation.
The new 9,000-square-foot spa will boast water features, tranquility gardens, a new wet area, locker rooms, and updated treatment and relaxation rooms. It is slated to open in fall of 2018.
