Two Roads Hospitality has assumed management of Puerto Rico’s Royal Isabela golf resort. Part of the company’s Destination Hotels collection, the 2,000-acre oceanfront property—set against bluffs more than 200 feet above the sea—launched in 2012 and is home to the celebrated 18-hole Links at Royal Isabela.
Previously designed by New York firm Hart Howerton, Royal Isabela boasts a pristine Caribbean setting with lush landscapes, caves, and dramatic cliffs. The resort is home to the River Farm and Gatehouse Garden, an organic farm and nursery with more than 20,000 native trees and floral species. Chef José Carles Fabregas’ signature onsite eatery Restaurant at La Casa uses organic produce from the farm in its menu.
Additional amenities include multiple pools, tennis courts, hiking and biking trails, a croquet lawn, fitness center, and two miles of pristine beach. Flexible meeting and event spaces are also featured, along with an event lawn offering ocean views.
The resort is home to 20 1,500-square-foot luxury Casitas, which feature designs influenced by Old Puerto Rico and offer a private terrace, heated plunge pool, and ocean vistas.
