Henderson Beach Resort in Destin, Florida and NOPSI Hotel, New Orleans are the latest additions in the Salamander Hotels & Resorts collection.
Set across 200 acres of state park preserves, the Henderson Beach Resort will open this November, offering 170 guestrooms and suites crafted by Atlanta-based firms Cooper Carry and Kent Interior Design. A grand courtyard will lead guests to the expansive living room with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Guestrooms will feature locally inspired furnishings with custom décor, elegant bathrooms, and balconies and terraces.

In addition to almost 30,000 square feet of outdoor spaces, the resort will also house 10,000 square feet of event space including a 5,400-square-foot ballroom, junior ballroom, and private boardrooms. The beachfront spa includes 11 treatment rooms and a women’s locker room attached to a private relaxation terrace. A sunlit fitness center will also be available. A signature restaurant, sushi bar, poolside grill, outdoor dining terrace, and vintage ice cream shop will be featured among the onsite dining options.
Debuting in spring 2017, the 217-room NOSPI Hotel, New Orleans will join the collection following its refresh by locally based firm Woodward Design+Build and Kent Interior Design. The historic, nine-story brick property will welcome visitors with its Grand Hall, outfitted with 21-foot-tall vaulted ceilings, elegant arches, ornamental columns, wood paneling, brass grills, and terrazzo floors. The revamped lobby bar will also boast a new courtyard garden.
NOPSI Hotel, New Orleans
The signature restaurant and bar Public Service will seat up to 118 guests featuring communal tables, leather banquettes, and an upper level private dining space. A rooftop pool and bar will also be offered. In addition to the onsite ballroom with large, arched windows and 30-foot ceilings, six boardrooms and breakrooms will be available for meeting and event space. The adjacent Dryades Building has also been repurposed to afford 4,000 square feet of multifunctional space.
Flexible, classically designed guestrooms will range from 350 to 800 square feet and feature neutral tones, gold accents and local artwork. A presidential suite and four spa suites will be housed on the ninth floor.
