B Hotels & Resorts has announced the completed renovation of South Florida’s iconic B Ocean Resort in Fort Lauderdale. The 484-room property received an updated design from New York-based Stonehill & Taylor, further immersing guests in the urban beachfront setting.
The spacious lobby and meeting space enjoy abundant natural light through a 50-foot-long skylight, illuminating the interiors’ relaxed luxury aesthetic. Public spaces are punctuated with natural elements of water and light from marine-themed décor to a glass staircase and water feature.
Originally debuting in 1956 as the Yankee Clipper, the resort’s guestrooms vary in size from 300 to 1,700 square feet. Many of the upgraded accommodations, including the presidential suite, boast private balconies. The new guestroom design evokes a chic, coastal-inspired energy using the waterside backdrop to accentuate hues of blue and gray as well as dark wood and prints subtly depicting sea turtles. The multimillion-dollar refurbishment also includes the introduction of a two-story penthouse, equipped with a private elevator, kitchenette, and sitting area.
Two outdoor infinity-edge pools are offered as well as a 24-hour fitness center, two spa suites, and 14,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor meeting space now expanded onto the second floor with the Point Room, which features floor-to-ceiling windows and an attached outdoor terrace. Led by Yes Hospitality Group’s chef Ralph Pagano, B Ocean Resort’s F&B concepts include the Naked Crab, Salty Siren, grab-and-go option the Clipper, and the Wreck Bar.
