As Marriott International’s multibillion-dollar merger agreement with Starwood Hotels is expected to close this month, Starwood has launched an external farewell campaign to thank its guests worldwide.
Filmed over the last month in Barcelona, Dubai, and New York, a new video extends gratitude to Starwood guests and promotes the company’s numerous innovations. Brand signatures like the Westin Heavenly Bed, SPG Keyless technology, and the debut of W Hotels are among the video’s highlights.
“A hotel is more than a room with a view,” says a voiceover, “it’s the setting for your story, with its own character and plot twists. It’s an experience. We thought it should have as much personality as the guests who stay there.”
An array of cityscapes and Starwood properties are featured in a montage, emphasizing the brand’s global influence.
“We thought we should always be there for you anytime anywhere,” the narration continues. “From the very beginning, you challenged us to go further, to be better, to be different. You inspired innovation. You are what made us Starwood.”
The farewell campaign is being promoted through the hashtag #STARWOODPROUD.
