The Sir Savigny hotel has arrived in Savignyplatz, an area in Berlin’s west Charlottenburg district characterized by its Art Nouveau architecture. Boasting 44 guestrooms crafted by Amsterdam-based designer Saar Zafrir, the circa-1893 property has been restored to reflect its roots—as well as its mythical, eponymous owner—through a modern lens.
Guestrooms range from the 140-square-foot Sir Petit room to the 323-square-foot Sir Savigny suite. Each room includes high ceilings, locally sourced artwork, vintage rugs, and custom furniture.
Israeli design studio Baranowitz + Kronenberg has created fluid, open public spaces on the ground floor. From the library to the Winter Garden complete with fireplace, the reception spaces flow seamlessly into one another. Burger bar the Butcher is housed onsite, while Savigny Garden is a fecund urban retreat complete with stylish graffiti art from local artist Dome.
