Spread across 770 acres of Turks and Caicos’ South Caicos island, the Sailrock Resort has debuted as part of the Sailrock South Caicos development, which includes Sailrock Living, a community of luxury homes.
Inspired by grand English manors, the Great House serves as the nucleus of the property and features clean Caribbean architecture as well as large shaded verandas to promote casual comfort and outdoor living. Framing picturesque views of the Columbus Passage, the Great House will also host the Great House Restaurant. The resort will offer luxury amenities, such as an infinity pool and poolside bar, and an onsite spa.
Grand Haven, Michigan-based interior designer Christine Lilley drew upon the natural beauty of the tropical landscapes as well as local Lucayan and contemporary designs in crafting the property. Organic furniture pieces will be installed in each of the villas and suites as an extension of the surrounding rugged landscape.
Ocean views are framed by glass-paneled walls in the villas, which accommodate up to four bedrooms and sheltered gardens, native stone walls, private oceanfront pools, and pergola-covered patios. Interior Great Rooms will boast open floorplans with vaulted ceilings and ocean-view kitchen islands. Oceanfront master suites will have their own private patios and outdoor garden showers.
Ridgetop Suites will feature an open air design and is slightly elevated above the shoreline. Large windows, sliding glass doors, and wraparound terraces reinforce nature. The suites will also include kitchens or kitchenettes and luxe bathrooms outfitted with double-bowl sinks, large soaking tubs, and oversized shower basins.
