Denver-based luxury hospitality brand Miraval Group has kicked off a nationwide expansion with the opening of the first Miraval Life in Balance Spa at the 5-Star Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California. The 30,000-square-foot spa is part of the resort’s $40 million renovation, which will include five new dining options as well as an expanded pool and bar. The property, operating through May 31st by Starwood Hotels as a St. Regis, will then rebrand as Monarch Beach Resort operated by KSL Resorts.
Designed by Los Angeles-based studios Rodrigo Vargas Design and TFO Architecture, the spa houses 24 treatment rooms, a boutique, suites for couples, a full-service nail salon, Drybar, Deborah Lippmann nail salon, zones for relaxation and tranquility, and the Miraval Spa Café.
The brand is pursuing the development of full-service Miraval destination wellness spas in key regions, modeling them after the Miraval Resort & Spa at Tucson, Arizona.
