IHG has put forth $200 million in support of Crowne Plaza in the Americas region. The investment is part of the three-year Crowne Plaza Accelerate plan to ensure that the brand continues to adapt along with industry demands by creating cultural, high-tech, and design-oriented experiences enticing to the modern traveler. The investment will go mostly toward new sales and marketing initiatives and the improvement of overall guest experience. Americas locations will be infused with modern décor, new tech innovations, devoted service, and versatile spaces targeting business travelers.
An additional plan feature is the WorkLife Room, an upgrade to guestrooms creating more space to work, socialize, and rest. Technology-enabled public spaces will be geared toward solo and small group meetings.
