Hard Rock International has announced the launch of Hard Rock Japan with Edward Tracy serving as CEO. The new branch and the appointment of Tracy both reflect the brand’s commitment to and ongoing efforts to expand in Asia.
Tracy has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years, previously serving as the president and CEO of casino management company Capital Gaming. Before joining Hard Rock, he most recently joined Sands China, a subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands Corp., as its president and COO before his appointment as CEO in 2011. He has also worked as president and CEO of the Trump Organization.
The Hard Rock brand first arrived in Japan in 1983, and now oversees six Hard Rock Café locations throughout the country. The company currently operates 24 hotels and 11 casinos around the world.
