Marriott International has launched its latest Aloft property at the Miami International Airport. Occupying the transformed Pan American Bank Building, the Aloft Miami Airport is the brand’s fourth outpost in the Florida city and its latest adaptive reuse project in North America, joining the ranks of local properties, including the Aloft Orlando Downtown and the Aloft Tampa Downtown. The design was overseen by Noel J. Torres of Coral Gables, Florida-based Studio 5 Design + Architecture.
Developed by Grass River Property and managed by HEI Hotels and Resorts, the 125-room hotel features keyless entry systems that enable guests to access accommodations via smartphones or Apple watches. In addition to 500 square feet of flexible meeting space, the hotel features an outdoor Splash pool, a Re:charge fitness center, and the Re:fuel grab-and-go F&B concept. Three dining options have opened as well, including a coffee shop and two restaurants. The W XYZ bar will host local musicians as part of the Live At Aloft Hotels series.
The hotel is located just minutes from the airport and top retail hubs like the Port of Miami, Miami Free Trade Zone, and Dolphin Mall.
