Adelphi Hospitality Group has announced that the renovation of the Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs, New York is nearing completion and slated to reopen in spring 2017. The 150-year-old building will retain its iconic Victorian grandeur, accented with modern upgrades from Schenectady, New York-based Dominick Ranieri Architect and New York-based Glen & Company.
An upgraded, streamlined look will define the front of the hotel, honoring its past with French doors opening to a patio and 1,200-square-foot glass-walled conservatory that overlooks the courtyard. Aspects such as 11-foot-tall ceilings and the grand staircase have been restored, and exteriors and courtyards will evoke Victorian luxury with stone patios, fountains, and landscape garden walls. Glen & Company’s interior redesign entails the refurbishment of the property’s historic furnishings as well as updates to the hotel’s 32 guestrooms and public spaces like the second-floor piazza. The lobby will be equipped with a fully integrated bar and elevated bistro overlooking the property’s gardens.
