Minor Hotels has announced plans to launch the AVANI Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel, an 18-story project developed in collaboration with United Arab Emirates-based developer Nakheel. Slated to open in 2019, the 372-room hotel will be launched as part of the expansion of the Ibn Battuta Mall, which guests will be able to access via the adjacent Ibn Battuta Metro Link.
The mall currently has 400 shops, restaurants, and entertainment outlets across 1.5 million square feet. The hotel will house a pool, spa, fitness center, coffee shop, and an all-day eatery.
Minor Hotels currently operates 14 properties in the Middle East across its Anantara, AVANI, Oaks, and PER AQUUM brands, with a total portfolio of 156 properties in 24 countries.
