The 25hours Hotel Company will open a Munich outpost this summer, joining the company’s eight-property portfolio across Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The 165-room hotel will be crafted by Augsburg, Germany-based studio Dreimeta and housed in a neo-Renaissance style building designed by architect Georg von Dollmann in 1869.
Tentatively named the Royal Bavarian, the hotel will be clad with iconic and ironic allusions to the royal heritage of Bavaria. In reference to the turn of the 20th century, guestrooms will be configured as simple chambers, stately rooms, and lavish royal suites. Public areas on the ground floor will include a roomy palm house, which will also house the restaurant and café. Onsite dining options include Neni restaurant, the Boilerman Bar, and the relaxed gastronomic concept Burger de Ville.
