Located in Atlantic City, the Tropicana Casino & Resort announced plans for $25 million in renovations, slated to be finished in May 2016. The project follows a $50 million upgrade of the property that was finished last year, which included the addition of AtlantiCare LifeCenter Fitness and renovations to the North Tower hotel rooms and casino.Â
A significant part of the latest enhancements include a renovation of the 500-room Havana Tower, including new carpeting, textured wallcoverings, spa-inspired bathrooms, and modern artwork.
The South Tower casino will be upgraded to match the modern décor of the recently refurbished North Tower casino. Further changes include the addition of a new high-limit slot area off Palm Walk, a cosmetic upgrade to the Jade Palace gaming room, and the addition of five shows to Tropicana’s Multimedia Light and Sound Show on the boardwalk.
The restaurant Cuba Libra will also be updated to include the addition of a chef’s counter with seating for 10 guests.
“These renovations are not only attractive upgrades for Tropicana’s guests, they are creating new employment opportunities at a crucial time in Atlantic City,” says Tony Rodio, president and CEO of Tropicana Entertainment.Â
The Tropicana Casino & Resort features 2,079 rooms and suites, a 200,000-square-foot entertainment complex, 24 restaurants, 25 shops, 18 bars and lounges, two pools, an IMAX Theatre, and a spa.Â
