Owned and managed by TUI AG, a new 5-Star hotel is in the works for Toscana Resort Castelfalfi—a 2,700-acre residential and resort complex in Tuscany.
The three-story hotel will blend with the local landscape when it debuts next year. This natural design language will be evident within a 6,500-square-foot restaurant with a muted and earth-tone color palette, as well as a covered veranda with outdoor seating.
Building on this theme, 120 accommodations—which will include eight 650-square-foot suites—will feature a natural color palette, with standard rooms and suites offering terraces or private garden areas.
A certified ClimaHotel, the sustainably oriented property will be constructed according to green building principals with low-impact materials such as wood and stone; a central biomass heating system that runs on locally sourced woodchips; a water filtration system; a bio-filter that recovers food waste; and low-emission LED light fixtures.
Hotel amenities will include an 11,000-square-foot spa with treatment rooms, an indoor-outdoor pool, a sauna, hammam, salt cave, and ice cave; and more than 2,000 square feet of meeting and event space; a gym to exceed 2,000 square feet. Guests will also have access to Toscana Resort Castelfalfi property amenities that include the 27-hole Golf Club Castelfalfi, a cooking school, a separate pool and wellness complex, and the Pizzeria Il Rosmarino and La Rocca di Castelfalfi restaurants.
An 800-year-old medieval village, Toscana Resort Castelfalfi property also includes the 31-room Hotel La Tabaccaia, 48 village apartments, 18 residential villas, and the 18-apartment La Collina residential community, which is currently under construction.
