Owned by the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians, Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California has launched a $285 million expansion slated for completion in 2017.
The resort was originally completed in 2002 by San Diego-based architecture firm Delawie, which will return to head the new project. Las Vegas-based Cleo Design and Los Angeles-based KNA Design will conceive all interiors.
Dubbed the Eagle IV Expansion, the project is expected to double the size of the resort with a 568-key hotel wing; a standalone, two-story spa and salon featuring 17 treatment rooms, a fitness center, and a hydrotherapy pool terrace; a resort-style pool complex with eight pool areas, designed by Newport Beach-based Lifescapes International; two new restaurants; and an additional 67,000 square feet of function space.
When the expansion is complete, Pechanga Resort & Casino will boast 100,000 square feet of indoor event space, 174,500 square feet of outdoor event space, 1,090 rooms, 13 F&B outlets, and 13 pools.
