Langham Hotels and Resorts, the marquee luxury brand of Hong Kong-based Langham Hospitality Group, has announced plans to open three new U.S. hotels—Langham Place, Wade Park in Frisco, Texas; Langham Place, San Francisco; and the Langham, Bishop’s Lodge Santa Fe in New Mexico. The three hotels will nearly double the brand’s U.S. presence, as it currently operates Langham Place, New York, Fifth Avenue; the Langham Boston; the Langham Chicago; and the Langham Huntington, Pasadena, Los Angeles.Â
“We have chosen three exciting destinations in the U.S. in which to expand the Langham Hotels and Resorts portfolio,” says Robert Warman, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group. “Thanks to our successful hotels in the U.S., as well as our celebrated locations in London, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, our brand awareness among luxury travelers has never been stronger.”
All the hotels will offer 5-Star service and the brand identifiers with which Langham has become synonymous—destination restaurants and bars, full-service spas, and luxurious accommodations. They represent two styles of the Langham Hotels and Resorts brand: the Langham, which embodies classic elegance and traditional décor, and the more contemporary Langham Place.
Langham Place, Wade Park, is a $1.6 billion, 175-acre project created by Thomas Land & Development. Designed by Dallas-based 5G Studio Collaborative, the property will feature 35 floors, including 25 hotel floors containing 250 guestrooms, and 10 floors for private residences. The guestrooms will include one- and two-bedroom suites, and two impressive 2,906-square-foot presidential suites. The hotel also features 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a beautiful rooftop pool, the Chuan Body + Soul spa, a full service bar, a courtyard available for outdoor events, and an adjoining walkway bridge to an adjacent office tower. The property is expected to open in early 2018.
Formerly the Bishop’s Lodge, the Langham, Bishop’s Lodge, Santa Fe is undergoing a renovation, and will reopen in the spring of 2018. Owned by an affiliate of HRV Hotel Partners, the historic resort is located at the foothills of New Mexico’s Sangre de Cristo range of the Rocky Mountains. First opened to the public in the 1920s, the resort boasts 317 acres, including private stables and trails for horseback riding. The renovation will include the demolition and remodeling of the existing rooms and public areas at the property, as well as new construction to expand the hotel to 139 guestrooms and suites. It is Langham’s first U.S. resort property.
Located across the street from the new Transbay Transit Center, Langham Place, San Francisco is a full-service luxury hotel that will be completed in 2020.
Langham Hospitality Group encompasses a family of hotels under the Langham Hotels and Resorts, Cordis, and Eaton brands. It currently has 30 projects in development across Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.Â
