InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced plans to expand the EVEN Hotels brand to Pittsburgh, Houston, and Eugene, Oregon. Scheduled to open in 2017, the new wellness-focused hotels will join three already open EVEN properties, including the 150-room flagship in New York’s Times Square.
“The growth of the EVEN Hotels brand allows us to provide more wellness-minded travelers with the hotel experience they desire,” says Joel Eisemann, the chief development officer of the Americas for IHG.
The Eugene, Oregon hotel includes 100 guestrooms, and is located near the University of Oregon, allowing guests access to the city’s extensive network of running trails.
The new-build Houston property includes 135 guestrooms, and is located in the suburb of Shenandoah, one of Houston’s premier corporate, retail, and residential areas.
The 155-room Pittsburgh hotel is part of an adaptive re-use project in a historic downtown building, which will include high-end retail and residential apartments.
Each of the additions will include EVEN’s signature elements, including athletic studios, calming relaxation zones, flexible work spaces, color-changing mood lighting in guestrooms, and the Cork & Kale Market and Bar, which serves foods that meet a variety of dietary needs. Additional EVEN hotels are planned in New York, Seattle, Miami, and Omaha, Nebraska.
