Japanese hospitality company Fujita Kanko is planning to open two hotels within its Hotel Gracery group in Kyoto.
The 97-room Kyoto Teramachi will open next year, while the 128-room Kyoto Shinkyogoku will debut in 2017.
“We are excited to be opening two new hotels in Kyoto,” says Akira Segawa, president and CEO of Fujita Kanko. “We have over 50 years of experience in hotel management here and are confident we can make our properties stand out in this competitive hotel market to appeal to both domestic and international guests.”
Though both hotel names are still tentative, the properties are slated for construction across from one another near the city’s Shinkyogoku shopping district nearby the Kyoto Japan Railways station.The publicly traded company is also planning to open the Hotel Gracery Okinawa next year.
Fujita Kanko currently has more than 70 properties and 30 mid-range hotels throughout Japan.
