In a joint venture with Wild Paris Holdings, Behringer Lodging Group has acquired the Belmont Hotel, located in Dallas.
“The Belmont is a beloved hotel that holds a unique position in the Dallas market,” says Jeff Burns, managing director of Behringer Lodging Group. “We see an opportunity to further enhance the property while remaining committed to preserving and improving the hotel’s core character, which has been a keystone in the rich history of West Dallas for 70 years.”
“We look forward to adding our voice to a long list of contributors,” adds Jordan Ford of Wild Paris.
Positioned in the city’s historic Oak Cliff neighborhood, the 64-room, four-building hotel was designed by noted architect Charles Dilbeck and built in 1946 over a five-acre hilltop plot overlooking downtown.
“We love the history and the story tied to the property, and we’re equally excited about its future,” says Matt Comfort, managing director of Behringer Lodging Group.
The property includes Smoke restaurant, Clairevista Vitality Club, and Bar Belmont.
Remaining faithful to Dilbeck’s vision, property renovations will include the lobby, pool area, various structural updates and repairs, and new landscaping.
