Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts has lined up two outposts for its new design-centric Dhawa brand, a collection of casual and contemporary full-service hotels geared toward a younger clientele.
Guestrooms are dubbed Cocoons, emphasizing comfort and convenience, while bathrooms, referred to as Pods, will boast spa-like amenities including LED mood lighting and Bluetooth music speakers.
Each floor will feature a communal space called the Nest, which offers complimentary refreshments, and the Void lobby area will provide relaxation pods. Other brand amenities include the Nook all-day restaurant and bar, spa facilities, a fitness center, and kids club.
The 346-key Dhawa Bo’ao, China will be the first Dhawa-branded property opening next March on Hainan Island. In July of 2016, the 516-room Dhawa Cayo Las Brujas, Cuba will open, the company’s first hotel offering in the region.
Additional openings have been scheduled for Pu’er, Leishan, and Luo Yang, all in China as well as Thailand outposts in Bangkok and Phuket.
