ARIA Resort & Casino, a Las Vegas property under MGM Resorts International, has announced a $154 million expansion of its LEED Gold-certified convention center.
The project will add an additional 200,000 square feet of meeting space across four stories with indoor-outdoor breakout spaces, a glass-enclosed venue with views of the Park—a forthcoming neighborhood-inspired entertainment development—and the new Las Vegas Arena, both set to open in April 2016. Upon completion of the expansion in February 2018, the resort will boast a total of more than 500,000 square feet of function space.
“Convention business at ARIA is booming, and demand is currently exceeding the space we have available,” says ARIA president and COO Bobby Baldwin. “Hosting large meetings and conventions is a core part of our business.”
Like existing meeting spaces, the expansion will target LEED certification.
ARIA Resort & Casino also recently announced Jewel, a new nightlife venture designed by New York-based Rockwell Group that will debut next spring; as well as the addition of ARIA Tower suites, a collection of 258 suites and a VIP lounge.
