Dubai leads the trio with 110 projects and 31,155 guestrooms in development. Riyadh’s pipeline comprises 56 projects and 11,866 guestrooms, while Doha is currently at work on 44 projects and 9,554 guestrooms.
Hilton is the region’s leading franchise with 75 projects and 22,708 guestrooms; followed by Starwood with 49 projects and 14,249 guestrooms; and Marriott International with 43 projects and 10,513 guestrooms. The leading brand for each of the top three franchises are Hilton Hotels with 30 projects and 11,452 guestrooms; Starwood’s aloft Hotels with 15 projects and 3,180 guestrooms; and Courtyard by Marriott with 12 projects and 2,787 guestrooms.
