The Executive Women’s Conference, organized by Boutique & Lifestyle Lodging Association (BLLA) in partnership with Travel Industry Executive Women’s Network (TIEWN), held its third annual conference on January 27th in Los Angeles, offering an opportunity for the top women professionals in the industry to share knowledge.
More than 100 hospitality professionals, travelers, and media gathered to hold discussions and listen to 25 guest speakers, including Crystal Cruises CEO and president Edie Rodriguez; White Lodging’s corporate director of digital marketing Carolyn Hosna; luxury travel writer Karen Loftus; and Google Travel senior account executive Ashley Mohan. Panel discussions covered topics such as the way that virtual reality technology will disrupt the travel industry in 2016.
Participants also discussed the rise of solopreneurs (solo entreprenuers), and what hotels are doing to cater to the ideal female traveler.
“It’s rewarding to see how the women of today continue to empower and thrive in the travel and tourism industries,” says BLLA and TIEWN founder and CEO Frances Kiradjian. “They are recognized as the leading influencers in the world of social media, and are consciously creating programs to enrich and augment the hospitality and tourism industries today”.
