Omni Hotels & Resorts is launching Mokara, its new luxury boutique hotel brand. For its first location, the company is rebranding San Antonio's Watermark Hotel & Spa as Mokara Hotel & Spa. The property will undergo changes to the F&B program, including the new Ostra restaurant, which will open this fall with a rooftop herb garden and replace the existing fine-dining outlet, Pesca on the River. The hotel's 17,000-square-foot spa facility will remain the same, with amenities such as men's and women's steam, sauna, whirlpools, and relaxation areas; treatment rooms with Vichy showers; and a new concierge at the rooftop pool.

From an experience standpoint, a member of the hotel's team will call the guest prior to their stay to note preferences, make spa appointments and dinner reservations, and assist with other arrangements. Guests will receive a special arrival amenity and a choice of bath salts, as well as nightly turndown service and complimentary access to signature beverages, coffee delivery, and Wi-Fi.
