Desires Hotels has announced the addition of the under-construction Cliffs Ocean Resort in the Dominican Republic to its collection. The project—the first on the island to be LEED certified—is set to open in summer 2011 and will feature guestrooms with large living areas and private terraces.

Built on 25 acres of oceanside property, the Cliffs Ocean Resort will include a luxury spa, two salt water infinity pools overlooking the Caribbean, a beach club equipped with a bar and cigar lounge, fitness center, helipad, golf practice facility, sports center with tennis courts, and equestrian center.
