Alpina Gstaad Opens Next Month in SwitzerlandNov 14, 2012
The property—which includes the 56-room hotel, private apartments within the hotel, and three chalets—stands on a hill above the village of Gstaad and features windowed towers that crown four sides of the roof. The arrival experience includes a covered passageway lined with hand-chiseled Ringgenberg stone, a waterfall, and a subterranean porte cochere with a large oculus to bring in natural light.
Individually designed guestrooms and suites boast reclaimed wood paneling, hand-hewn reclaimed beams, and antique ceilings. Guests also have access to the Six Senses Spa with fitness center and pool, a Havana-inspired cigar lounge, wine room, and private cinema.
