Capitol Arts & Frames has produced two large-scale projects for the Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay and the Venetian in Las Vegas. The high-end custom frame manufacturer, which emphasizes closed-corner designs, employs 40 artisans who specialize in hand carving, classic comp designs, gilding, finishing, matting, and fitting. The raw molding is also manufactured on site.
At the Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay, Capitol Arts & Frames managed several jobs from different art consultants for the guestroom and public-area art. Pictured left are Capitol's frame style Am-252 in 22K Antq Genuine Gold Leaf over Red Clay, along with the actual frame that was made for one of the public spaces at the hotel.
The Venetian project, pictured right, showcases Capitol's frame style C-4133 in three different finishes: Black over Red with Antq GGL over Red Clay on Inner Lips (right), Antq 12K Genuine White Gold (center), and Black with Solid GGL on Inner Lip (left). The framed art in a Venetian suite uses frame style C-4133 in Antq GGL finish.
