Park Hyatt Saadiyat Breaks Ground

Design and architecture firm Perkins Eastman has begun construction on the luxurious Park Hyatt Saadiyat Island Hotel and Resort in Abu Dhabi. The architecture and landscape design will complement each other, blurring the lines between the indoors and outdoors. The 314 guestrooms and suites range from accommodations in the main building and wings to single- and double-story riads along the boardwalk and private beach. Guestrooms will have extended terraces and open bathrooms, with most units offering views of the Arabian Sea.

Amenities include two swimming pools, a main dining room, specialty restaurant/bar, beach restaurant, spa, and meeting facilities. The hotel is slated to open in the first quarter of 2011.
