Langham Hotels International will manage a new all-villa boutique resort at Kalim Bay in Phuket, Thailand. Langham has tapped architect Clint Nagata of Bangkok-based Blink Design Group to lead the project. Nagata says he will take his inspiration for the 78 villas from the surrounding forests and Andaman Sea.
The villas will feature bars, private plunge pools, day beds, and barbecue grills. Some of the penthouse villas will offer roof terraces with zero-edge pools. Also slated for the resort are the Chuan Spa, a beach club that offers all-day dining and a lounge area, and several restaurants. Langham Place, Miora Resort & Spa, Kalim Bay, Phuket is scheduled to open in early 2010.
