Destination design firm WATG served as the architect of record for the new Viceroy Anguilla Resort & Residences. Vice president Bradford McNamee has led the architectural design of the resort since WATG was engaged over four years ago. "What really sets this project apart is the striking interrelationship of the buildings and the landscape as they meet the Caribbean Sea," he says. "The innovative master planning balances both manmade and natural features to accentuate the visual experience of this extraordinary resort."
The resort—set on 35 acres along 3,200 feet of Caribbean beachfront—features 166 beachfront and bluff-top villas, townhomes, and resort residences; 140-seat restaurant and outdoor bar perched on a rocky point of land; and spa. Kelly Wearstler handled the resort's interior design, featuring strong, geometric lines and modern yet eclectic furnishings.
